AI YoungBoy 2 is a mixtape by American rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again. Information technology was released on October eleven, 2019, by Never Broke Over again and Atlantic Records.^[3] The mixtape was supported by the singles "Self Control" and "Slime Mentality".

The mixtape debuted at number ane the US Billboard 200 chart, earning 110,000 album-equivalent units in its outset calendar week, becoming YoungBoy's beginning US number-one anthology.^[iv] The mixtape was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Clan of America (RIAA) in September 2020.^[5]

On August iv, 2017, the first part of the "AI YoungBoy" series titled "AI YoungBoy" was released.^[6] Information technology reached number 24 on the Billboard 200 and was certified Gold by the RIAA.^{[vii] [8]} On Oct eleven, 2019, without any previous announcements, he bankrupt the news about releasing "AI YoungBoy two" on his social media.^[nine] The tracklist contains eighteen songs, including the single "Slime Mentality" which was released on September 1, 2019. It features guest appearances from rappers Quando Rondo and NoCap.^[10] The mixtape marks the first commercial release since his release from prison house in August 2019.^[11] Co-ordinate to The Fader, the mixtape deals with "difficulties he's faced over the by year".^[12] Regarding the cover art, Joshua Espinoza of Circuitous concluded that it depicts "a clear reference to the constant headlines about his legal issues".^[xiii]

AI YoungBoy 2 debuted at number one the US Billboard 200 chart, earning 110,000 anthology-equivalent units (including 3,000 pure album sales) in its starting time week.^[4] This became YoungBoy'south 12th chart entry and his first US number-one album.^[4] In its second week, the album dropped to number two on the chart, earning an boosted 80,000 units.^[14] In its third calendar week, the album dropped to number four on the nautical chart, earning 64,000 more than units.^[xv] In its fourth calendar week, the album climbed to number iii on the chart, earning 62,000 units, bringing its four-week total to 316,000 units.^[16] On September 22, 2020, the mixtape was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Clan of America (RIAA) for combined sales and album-equivalent units of over a one thousand thousand units in the United States.^[5]
